By accessing or using the Golden Cakes Co. website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website or place orders with us.

These terms apply to all visitors, customers, and anyone who accesses or uses our services.

All cake orders are subject to availability and confirmation. When you place an order through our website or in person, you are making an offer to purchase, which we may accept or decline at our discretion.

Prices for our products are listed on our website and may change without prior notice. Payment is required at the time of order placement unless otherwise agreed upon. We accept major credit cards and other payment methods as indicated on our website.

A deposit may be required for custom and wedding cake orders. Deposit amounts and payment schedules will be communicated at the time of consultation.

Custom cake designs are created based on consultations with our team. While we strive to match your vision as closely as possible, please understand that each cake is handcrafted and minor variations from reference images or descriptions may occur.

Design approvals must be confirmed at least 7 days before the scheduled delivery or pickup date. Changes requested after design approval may incur additional charges or may not be possible depending on timing and complexity.

Cancellations made more than 7 days before the scheduled order date are eligible for a full refund minus any non-refundable deposit. Cancellations made within 7 days of the order date may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the total order value.

Custom and wedding cake orders that have entered production cannot be cancelled. If you are unsatisfied with your order due to a quality issue on our part, please contact us within 24 hours of receiving your order and we will work to make it right.

We offer delivery services within a specified radius of our location. Delivery fees are calculated based on distance and will be communicated at the time of order. You are responsible for ensuring someone is available to receive the delivery at the specified address and time.

For pickup orders, cakes must be collected at the agreed-upon time. Cakes not picked up within 2 hours of the scheduled time may be subject to additional storage fees. Golden Cakes Co. is not responsible for damage that occurs after the cake has been delivered or picked up.

Our products are made in a facility that processes common allergens including but not limited to wheat, eggs, dairy, nuts, and soy. While we take precautions to prevent cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee that our products are free from allergens.

It is the customer's responsibility to inform us of any allergies or dietary restrictions at the time of ordering. We will do our best to accommodate special dietary needs but cannot guarantee that any product is completely free from a specific allergen.

All content on the Golden Cakes Co. website — including text, images, logos, designs, and graphics — is the property of Golden Cakes Co. and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content on our website without our express written permission. Photos of our cake designs shared on social media should credit Golden Cakes Co.

Golden Cakes Co. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our website or services. Our total liability for any claim related to our products or services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific order in question.

We are not responsible for delays or failures in performance resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, supply chain disruptions, or other force majeure events.

You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe upon the rights of others. You must not attempt to gain unauthorized access to our website, servers, or databases.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our website at any time without notice. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the website.

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our services shall be resolved in the courts located in Kane County, Illinois.
